Balanitis
Balanitis is inflammation of the glans penis. When the prepuce also is affected, it is termed balanoposthitis. Lack of aeration and irritation because of smegma and discharge surrounding the glans penis causes inflammation and edema. The most common complication of balanitis is phimosis as it causes oedema. In most adults, first suspicion of Type II diabetes is recuurent Balanitis. Surgery is the answer for phimosis.
